Who we are.

Form Collective is a small, agile team of designers and developers.

You won't find nonsensical jargon, gratuitous paperwork or tired methodologies with all of us here at Form. We believe that talented teams of individuals accomplish amazing things by being sharp, small and agile. These three attributes form the core methodology that we work by. Our company is comprised of a small team of three individuals, but our knowledge and experience spans an extremely wide array of relevant areas: from traditional graphic design and animation to database modeling and code optimization, we strive to keep ourselves sharp and ready to tackle any project that comes our way.

We are sharp because we love what we do.

We spend late nights and long weekends exploring new techniques and technologies. We build things that never see the light of day for the simple joy of discovering what else is possible. We believe it's critical to stay sharp because the best way to know you've got the ideal solution to a problem is know all the other solutions that don't quite stack up.

We are small because it provides value for our clients.

We don't take on dozens of projects at a time, we dedicate our time and resources to only one or two projects at any time. The size of a team is important because it's not about how many people are thrown at your project, it's about how much knowledge is at work. When that knowledge is divided between departments communication slows down and critical connections are missed. With our small team approach, our clients are always in direct contact with the individuals responsible for all aspects of their project – nothing is lost in translation between managers and developers, art directors and UI designers. We don't operate by being the "big guy" who makes up for their losses in volume. We prefer a few happy clients to dozens of barely contented ones.

We are agile because we're realists.

We could spend our entire lives writing up exhaustive documentation and processes guidelines to try to convince our clients that they're getting their money's worth. But we've found that working iterations and hands-on involvement does a far better job. Experience has taught us that the way to hit our mark is to provide our clients with hands-on time throughout our design and development cycle, from prototyping to final build. Expectations are met, "gotchas" show up early, and when a project requires a change in direction we can pivot quickly.

Our approach allows (and requires) us to run efficiently, but that doesn't mean we're only set up to tackle small jobs. In fact, it's on large jobs and longer projects with evolving requirements that the efficiency and opportunities for adjustment that are built into our methodology really pay off.
